this hotel was comfortable place for exploring palatine, really loved it. they prepare very good & hot breakfast. very nice overall experience.

The breakfast was better than expected. The bed was VERY comfortable.

There was a mistake made at check in. The manager on duty clearly admitted that she made this mistake BUT only when I approached her the next morning. I was promised that the issue would be resolved. Today is 2 days after my check out and I am still waiting for the issue to be resolved. The issue was that I reserved 3 rooms with my credit card. 2 for my family and 1 for my cousins family. My cousin checked in first and paid with HER credit card. $170.60 was taken from her account. Then I checked in. I paid for both of my rooms with CASH. $145.60 for each room. The next morning I checked my credit card account and noticed you guys charged my credit card &170.60! I went right to the front desk and asked for a manager. She did apologize for HER mistake and assured me she would refund the credit on my card. She did not seem to be very sincere at all with her explanation. It is now Tuesday and I still have not received my refund. I am on a fixed income. I have bills that automatically come out of my account that will now be returned due to ISF. I called the hotel and spoke to Don. His advise is to wait a few days and see if it goes back in my card. Don was very nice however I do not feel that him or the other manager realize the stress and frustration this situation is causing me. Not ONCE was I offered ANY kind of compensation for my troubles. The customer service at this hotel has failed. I am still waiting for this issue to be resolved. If you would like more details PLEASE feel free to contact me.

Everything, no microwave, bad pool area,noise all night, would have gone to another hotel but holiday weekend, no openings.

Beds were comfy. Breakfast was more than what was expected.

One of the two elevators went out of service while there. Staying on the 6th floor was a long haul as you had to wait 5 or more minutes for the elevator.

Everyone was kicked out of the hotel after 10:00 pm and no power for seven hours. We all had to scramble to various hotels. The hotel manager did the best he could but it was a disaster. It was the only block without power after a minor storm. Seemed odd that even the next day I checked at 8 in the morning they still were without power.

breakfast was great. daughter is an athlete and she loved the gym. staff was very polite and helpful

The room was clean, the staff were pleasant and breakfast was good.

The pool and hot tub were a disappointment. Both needed to be cleaned.

Lovely room, fantastic kitchen/breakfast lounge, very helpful front desk. Even tho I am a smoker, my room was very nice, not the worst as is many hotels.
